History

Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, located in the City of Newport, Kentucky, was founded in 1997. Our parish continues the longstanding Catholic presence in the City begun by the parishes of Corpus Christi (1853), St. Stephen (1854), Immaculate Conception (1855; closed 1969), St. Francis de Sales (1911),  and St. Vincent de Paul (1915).
