The Importance of Wearing a Mask to Church

St. Paul laid out the basic principle that we should seek harmony and do what pleases our neighbor (see Romans 1:15 and following). We ask you to wear a mask to Mass not necessarily for your own benefit but to serve the needs of those around us. Wearing a mask is a way to show our brothers and sisters in our Parish community that we too are looking out for their best interest.

Prayer During the Pandemic

Lord, help us to  be prepared, but not anxious,
aware, but not desperate, vigilant but not fearful,
joyful, not clueless, faithful, but not careless.
Lord, be our our hope and strength.
Amen

St. John Paul II
Prayer of the Elderly

Lord, You gave me the priceless gift of life, and since my birth,
You have not ceased to fill me with Your graces and Your infinite love.
During all these years, great joys, trials, successes, failures, setbacks,
and grief have been intermingled, as happens to everyone.
With Your grace and Your help, I was able to overcome these
obstacles and move toward you.

Today, I feel rich with my experiences, and in the great consolation  of
having been the object of your Love. My soul sings its gratitude to You today,
while I am still in possession of my faculties,
I offer You, in advance, my acceptance of your holy will,
and from now on, I wish that if one or another of these trials should happen to me,
it might serve Your glory and the salvation of souls.
Amen
